At Ladybird Group of Schools, we understand that a successful school day begins with a safe and stress-free journey. Our School Bus Service is designed to provide parents with peace of mind and students with a comfortable, punctual start to their academic activities.
By providing reliable transportation, we ensure that students arrive ready to uphold our "Academic Excellence" and return home safely to their families.
Our Commitment to Safety
The safety of our learners is our highest priority. Our transportation department adheres to strict safety protocols:
Experienced Drivers: Our drivers are highly trained professionals with extensive experience navigating Yaoundé's roads safely.
Bus Matrons: Every bus is accompanied by a trained School Matron who supervises the students, assists them during boarding and off-boarding, and ensures high moral conduct during the journey.
Regular Maintenance: Our fleet of buses undergoes frequent mechanical inspections and daily safety checks to ensure they are in peak condition.
Safe Pick-up and Drop-off: We provide door-to-door service where possible, or use designated, safe collection points near your residence.
Key Features of the Service
Punctual Schedule: We pride ourselves on reliability. Buses are scheduled to ensure students arrive at school by the 7:25 AM arrival deadline, ready for the 7:30 AM assembly or lessons.
Comfortable Seating: Our vehicles are equipped with comfortable seating to ensure a pleasant ride for all ages.
Flexible Zones: We cover several neighborhoods within the city. Please contact the Admissions Office to confirm if your specific location falls within our current bus routes.
Communication: Parents are provided with the contact details of their child’s specific bus matron for real-time updates when necessary.
Transport Schedule and Closing Hours
To accommodate our different closing times, we operate multiple bus shifts:
Early Years Shift: Departures at 2:00 PM for our youngest learners.
Primary & Secondary Shift: Departures starting at 3:45 PM (following the conclusion of standard lessons and co-curricular activities).
High School Shift: Special late departures are arranged at 4:15 PM or 5:15 PM for senior students with extended lab sessions or remedial classes.
Registration and Fees
The School Bus Service is an optional facility. To register your child:
Inquiry: Visit the Admissions Office or contact the Transport Coordinator to check route availability.
Registration: Fill out the Transport Request Form.
Payment: Transport fees are paid on a termly basis and vary depending on the distance/zone of your residence.
Note: Seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage early registration to secure a spot on your preferred route.
